This is Stumpy. We saw him in Central Park as we were sitting on a bench. He landed on the sidewalk and I noticed he only had one leg! He had a little stubby for the other foot. He just limped along with his little pegleg. It was so sad! I wish you well Stumpy.

Hi Afs! Taunie & Scotty have a one legged quail that comes to eat the bird seed in their back yard. Dad named her Hoppy. She even had about 8 chicks this spring. Way to go Hoppy! Glad to see you've joined us in the blogosphere!

Your blog is great, I love it. That is a very sad story about Stumpy, I am glad he still manages to get around. What a tuff little guy (or maybe a gal). I'm glad you took a picture of it and told the story. What a fun trip you must have had.
